Paul T. Davies
For Frequency Theatre: ACTOR
Paul T. Davies is an academic, actor, writer and director. He has a PhD from the University of East Anglia and a Master of Arts from the University of Essex, and has lectured on theatre for most of his career.
His recent performances include playing Prospero, Caliban and Gonzalo n Father Hen’s production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest (2012 tour), Dr. Rance in What The Butler Saw, and several parts in Chameleon Web’s The Three Musketeers. His plays include Triptych (Mohican Blue, 2005), The Green Room (4th Wall) and Downtown, which he directed for a sell out performance at the 2011 Pulse Festival. He worked extensively as an actor and director for Everyman Theatre in Cardiff, and has also directed several productions at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
He has been published in Alternatives in the Mainstream II, Queer Theatre, and writes regular theatre reviews for the Gazette. He was nominated for the UCS Lecturer of the Year Award in 2010, and now teaches part time at the University of Derby, freeing himself up to also work on projects such as Frequency Theatre!
