Painted Words

In September 2013, Frequency Theatre worked with director Chris Hallam and the Mercury Theatre Colchester to bring to life short pieces of writing through audio theatre.

The pieces were collected via a competition which was held to see how people would respond to the following quote from St Thomas Aquinas:

“For the practice of virtue, a modicum of comfort is necessary”

The following pieces were released on the website and can be listened to here and could also be heard through listening posts in the Mercury Theatre during their ‘The Only Way is Ethics’ new writing festival.

You can find out more about the Mercury Theatre by going to www.mercurytheatre.co.uk

The piece included the following work:

The Servant’s Tale by Sally Willden

To Feed a Family by Clare Shaw

Untitled by Joni-Van Powell

Kairos by Oliver Garnett

Colours of War by Skadi Winter
