Horizons is a new play made as part of the Essex Book Festival’s Making Waves project.
If you look into the distance, you can often miss what is right in front of you. Mavis did that, knowingly, for many years. After the funeral of her husband, Mavis orders an ice cream sundae, and tells her story.
Directed by Tony Casement
Performed by Christine Absalom (Mavis), Melissa Dean (Paula) and Sophia Zervudachi (Waitress)
This play has been produced by Frequency Theatre in partnership with the Essex Book Festival as part of the ‘Making Waves’ project. We gratefully acknowledge the support of Essex County Council, the University of Essex, and Arts Council England.
